Jaya
Shree Textiles, Aditya Birla Nuvo's textile division,
is a leading player in the domestic linen segment
and worsted yarn market. It also enjoys a strong
international presence, with around 40 per cent
of its revenues coming from exports.
The
company has a manufacturing facility at Rishra
in West Bengal. Jaya Shree Textiles offers a wide
range of products namely, linen fabric, linen
yarn, worsted yarn and wool tops.
Linen
Club Fabric
The only integrated manufacturer of linen yarn and
linen fabric in this part of the world, the company's
spinning, weaving and processing facility is one
of a kind, with a capacity for producing 7.2 million
metres per annum which is being augmented to 10
million metres per annum.
Marketed
under the Linen Club Fabrics brand name, it is
the only linen fabric that is crafted from 100
per cent imported French and Belgian flax
spun, woven and processed with cutting-edge Swiss,
Italian, German and British technology. Even at
the intricate stages of dyeing and finishing,
new techniques are continuously developed to add
brighter colours and more innovative textures
to the finished product, topped off by the most
delicate Italian finishing technology. The result:
flawless fabric in over 3000 different weaves,
textures and blends.
Worsted
yarn
Made at Jaya Shree Textiles, worsted yarn a popular
export item, is spun from fine Australian merino
wool and used for weaving, knitting, hosiery and
upholstery. Buyers can choose from a range of conventional
and siro-spun, single twisted, core spun or dyed
solids, mélange, vigourex printed and Ecru.
What's more, the wool combing facility offers customised
fine count of merino wool, commanding a loyal clientele.
Specialty
synthetic yarns for flame retardant apparel, upholstery
applications, yarns for carpet backing and sewing
threads are also produced at Jaya Shree Textiles.
The
division has increased its wool-combing capacity
from 4000 tpa to 8000 tpa at a capex of Rs. 35.9
crores in July-05. During one and half year, the
division more than doubled its flax spinning capacity
to 14,220 spindles and augmented its fabrics capacity
by 45 looms to 107 looms.
